“Holy Spring” is a collection of thirteen short stories by Uładzimir Niaklajeŭ, published to mark the writer’s 80th anniversary.

The stories vary in style, theme, and narrative scale, offering a broad view of Niaklajeŭ’s literary work. Moving between realism, grotesque, metaphysical reflection, historical memory, and contemporary social commentary, the collection brings together texts that engage with both the past and the present.

Through stories about life and death, postwar experiences, human choices, and the complexities of modern society, Niaklajeŭ creates a literary world where irony coexists with tragedy and hope stands alongside disillusionment.

Published by the Belarusian Cultural Center in Białystok, the book showcases the diversity of one of the most important voices in contemporary Belarusian literature.
