“The Iliad” is one of the defining monuments of world literature and the most famous epic of Ancient Greece.
Created around the 8th century BCE and traditionally attributed to the semi-legendary poet Homer, the poem tells the story of the Trojan War through themes of heroism, rage, honour, fate, and loss.
This edition presents the first complete translation of “The Iliad” into Belarusian. Alongside the full text, the book includes commentaries, footnotes, dictionaries, and additional reference materials designed to help modern readers better understand the mythological and historical context of the epic.
