“Bestiarium” is an audio-literary project by Irdorath inspired by Belarusian mythology, pagan folk traditions, and dark fantasy aesthetics.

Created over more than five years, the project combines music, literature, and visual art into a single immersive work. It became the band’s first major release after political imprisonment, forced exile, and the rebuilding of their creative life abroad.

At the center of the project is the album “Bestiarium”, where mythological creatures appear as complex characters with their own emotions, fears, and personalities. Through dark folk sound and narrative storytelling, the album explores the search for the human inside the non-human.

The bilingual book in Belarusian and English continues the world of the album through lyrics, illustrations, legends, and cultural commentary. A significant part of the material was created during the authors’ political imprisonment, which deeply shaped the atmosphere of the project.
