“I’m Coming to You, People” is an anthology of essays by eighteen contemporary Belarusian women writers reflecting on neighbourhood, identity, migration, and the experience of living among others.

The collection brings together authors who remain in Belarus and those who were forced to leave after 2020 due to growing political repression directed against writers, journalists, and cultural figures.

Through personal stories and observations, the essays explore how we relate to people from different cultures or to those who share similar experiences with us, how we influence one another, and what everyday coexistence can reveal about communication, memory, and Belarusian identity.

As a reflection of the political reality in Belarus today, several authors publish under pseudonyms for safety reasons, and biographical information about them is intentionally omitted from the book.

The anthology features texts by Julia Arciomava, Tania Arcimovič, Tafilia Bahač, Vika Biran, Lina Bryk, Eva Viežnavec, Volha Valoškina, Stėfa Lisovskaja, Nasta Zacharevič, Juhasia Kaliada, Zaraslava Kaminskaja, Maryja Lapo, Milana Liavickaja, Maryja Parhimčyk, Ksienija Maj, Julija Čarniaŭskaja, Volha Šparaha, and Hanna Jankuta.
