“Chronicle of Denying the Void” is the debut poetry collection by Illia Kulbicki, bringing together poems and narrative works written between 2017 and 2024.
The collection moves through different forms and moods — from reflections on social events and everyday observations to satire, mythology, and urban fantasy. Despite their diversity, all texts are united by a shared search: a path through both external and internal emptiness toward a more truthful world.
This is a journey shaped by language, faith, imagination, and the desire to witness and accomplish the impossible, while carefully listening to the voices of fellow travelers along the way.
Illia Kulbicki was born in Minsk in 1982. He graduated from Belarusian State University with a degree in programming. He is a winner and laureate of the “Festival of One Poem”, and his works have been published in the literary newspaper “Litaraturnaja Bielaruś” and the online magazine “Taubin”. He currently lives in Warsaw.
